We crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and entered a staggeringly beautiful park. In its previous life, it was an army base. Gun turrets and bunkers abound! So did wildlife. I saw hummingbirds, herons, deer, seals (dead and alive), and horses.

I stopped at a marine veterinary hospital and talked to the co-founder of the place about his love for seals. I also met an Elephant Seal statue. I think he liked me!
